Wristcheck is an Alibaba-backed secondhand luxury watch marketplace that aims to be "the ultimate destination for watch lovers". This aim would never be realized without Google showing Wristcheck at the top of search results given Google's immense role in driving web traffic.

Substantial numbers of watch buyers first start researching watches on Google. So to influence Google to increase Wristcheck's rankings and clicks, they called Cogney for search engine optimization.

The Strategy

We audited their website, shared suggestions, and worked closely with Wristcheck's marketing and engineering teams on a retainer to implement them.

Technical aspects of their site were causing Google to become lost, stuck, or confused.

Content on their ecommerce pages and blog were not optimized in ways that would result in high rankings.

The Authority of their site was undervalued due to broken backlinks.

All these issues and more were resolved, best practices were put in place to follow moving forward, and growth targets were set.
